Maintaining a
healthy and strong body requires a personal decision, invested
time, a deliberate approach, and continual adherence. If you
have heard that it is easy, and without sacrifice, DON’T BELIEVE
IT! The truth is it takes effort, just like it takes effort to
maintain healthy teeth and gums, good hygiene, an automobile,
and a clean home. You have to value the benefits more than you
value the effort and sacrifice. Once you do, you will find it
very easy to maintain.
You must be conscious of every eating decision and
specific in your choices of what to eat, what not to eat, what
rules to follow, and what concessions you allow for yourself.
Never eat just because something is in front of you, offered to
you, left over, or because the clock suggests it's time. We
must maintain more control than that for a healthy and strong
lifestyle.
You must continue to move your body. Exercise can be
done in 10 minute intervals, 30 minute sessions, or 1 hour
fitness classes. From the time you wake up to the time you go
to bed, the more you move - the more you burn. Even the little
things count -- taking stairs, parking further away, 5 minute
after-dinner walks. It’s all good, and it all adds up!
We have
all heard that "the truth will set you free." The REAL truth is
- the truth CAN'T set you free if you don't apply it to your
life. Without application it's nothing more than un-applied
wisdom. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and make the
choice today for a healthier and stronger YOU beginning right
